Submission Guidelines
Please read in full prior to submitting work. Thanks!
1. Include author/artist name on all file submissions.
2. Submit only work that has not been previously published.
3. We will accept simultaneous submissions. Please note whether your submission is exclusive to Hummingbird Zine or not. If another magazine accepts your work for publication, please advise us asap.
- Poetry: Submit a maximum of four (4) poems as a MS Word doc.
- Fiction and Nonfiction: Submit a maximum of 1200 words as a MS Word doc.
- Visual art and photography: Submit a maximum of three (3) images. Ensure the images are high-resolution, please.
- Pitches are accepted. Ensure that pitches are no more than 300 words.

Theme: Stories with Buzz
We are interested in opinions, commentary, poetry, non-fiction and art on event(s) that are/ were buzz-worthy. Creativity is encouraged.
